My passion in life is collecting and restoring antique cars and motorcycles. I have been doing it since I was 12 years old, and I enjoy sharing my hobby with any dork that will listen (that includes my two boys). I have always been a hard worker and used that knowledge from my car hobby in my career.

My experience in the home remodeling industry started at 18 when I joined a local stone shop as a material handler. I spent the better part of two decades working and building my career there. I enjoyed it and had the opportunity to use my mechanical knowledge for the work I was doing.

Eventually I got to a point where I felt like I couldn't keep growing. Not that anything was wrong with the shop I was in, but I had hit my ceiling. I was feeling stifled and restricted. I needed room to grow.

I was on a job with AJ doing some repair work, and we were just chatting about it the whole time. He asked me, “I have never seen you so mad, what's wrong?” And I told him, “I think this is the year I am looking for a new job.” AJ immediately said, “Allura has thought about expanding, and your name has come up, but we never thought you would leave where you're at.”

After some personal reflection, I took the leap of faith and decided to join AJ and the team at Allura Bath & Kitchen.

I now feel like I am trusted and my opinion matters, that what I do is respected and that I have a real place where I can continue to grow as a person. I just feel proud and lucky to be a part of this team. I actually like coming to work, and how many people can really say that?

If you ever want to talk about antique cars, you can always reach out! I'll talk about it for hours with you.

I am currently engaged to my beautiful fiancée and we have a 4-year-old son who is awesome! I also enjoy collecting comic books. Spider-Man is my favorite and I really love sharing that with my son.

I started in construction at 18 years old at an electrical control company. I would travel the country building control buildings for power companies. It was a lot of fun when I didn't have kids and a fiancée. I eventually found my way to a local commercial construction company so I could be home more. The guys at Allura were actually working on the building we were in and we started talking about work and life. At the time I was really stressed at the job I was at and felt like I was in work mode 24/7. I hated that I didn't get to enjoy life with my family like I wanted.

Eventually it got to a point where I left my other job. I was driving and called AJ and asked if his offer of employment was still on the table. He said, “Absolutely, I'm here now, come on over.” We had an awesome conversation, he helped me calm down, and by the end of the conversation he said, “Go home, be with the family and come into work Monday.”

I have been at Allura since 2024 and I love what I do. I make connections with people, it brings me joy helping homeowners get the project they want, and it's just so rewarding. I have time for my family and am in a really great place in my life.

The opportunity to join Allura was not one I planned for, but I am blessed that I took the opportunity AJ and the team presented to me. I can't wait to meet you and help you with your project. And if you know anywhere that has really cool Spider-Man comics, let me know.

I grew up in the Pike Creek area of Delaware and spent my childhood playing baseball and hanging out with friends, some of whom I work with now at Allura Bath & Kitchen. I attended St. Mark's High School and when I graduated I started out as an electrical apprentice. I eventually migrated to the commercial solar industry, where I was tasked with project managing industrial-scale solar installations all over the country. I enjoyed traveling to new areas, meeting new people, and building sustainable resources for our future.

In 2024 the solar company had layoffs due to federal funding and I was unfortunately let go. I didn't know what path my career would take next, but I had this feeling that I wanted to start planting roots and not travel as much. Then one fateful day AJ and I ran into each other at Home Depot. I told AJ my story, and he offered me a position at Allura Bath & Kitchen as a laborer until I figured out what I wanted to do next. Over the next two years I started applying my experience in project managing to the systems and procedures at Allura Bath & Kitchen. I found that I enjoyed the industry, the company and the work I was doing. I worked hard and was promoted to Project Coordinator in 2025, and now I manage the master schedule and logistics for the various projects and project managers we have on site.

I truly love working at Allura. I have friends I have known for decades, new friends I've met here, I am close to my family and able to start building the future I want for myself. I feel at home now. Especially with playing lots of golf.

I love playing pickleball with my friends at the new courts by the Newark Reservoir, which are awesome (highly recommended), and am passionate about sports cars. My dream car would be a Ferrari 488 Pista in yellow. I've got a long way to go.

After graduating high school, I started working at a local generator factory. I worked assembling the parts on the factory floor. It was my first job and I hated it. I felt miserable and lonely working 12-hour shifts doing the same repetitive thing. I felt like a robot.

I decided to tell my mom I was quitting because it was not the job for me. She then introduced me to AJ at Allura and I went in for an interview. I accepted the role of laborer in 2025 and went to work immediately.

I am a detail-oriented person and enjoy challenges. The work at Allura is always different and I get to problem solve. It's never boring, or lonely, or tedious. We get things done.

I have learned so much so fast and am continuing to learn with the help of the team at Allura every day. I feel supported in my career growth and fulfilled in the work I do. I no longer feel like a robot but like a member of a team. I love the people I work with and enjoy coming to work and making progress on clients' beautiful projects.

Hopefully we can meet on the pickleball courts soon!

How I got involved in construction started when I was with my dad on job sites and home projects when I was about 7 years old. “Going to work with Dad” was always the highlight of the week. I always looked forward to that quality time with him, and those experiences are how I learned all about this industry.

After graduating from UD in mechanical engineering, I realized, in my heart, that what was right for me was being at Allura. This is what I was meant to do.

So over 11 years ago, I took a leap and asked my dad to work for him, and he immediately put me to work in the field, learning from talented tradesmen. I vividly remember cutting tile in the bitter cold with my hands freezing, and spackling so much my shoulder was sore for days. Then I started running projects and eventually hiring other guys to help me out. Then I learned design and measuring, to the point that when it comes to kitchens and baths, I have literally done every aspect of the project.

Now I wake up excited to come into work because every day I'm making a difference in people's lives.

My journey in customer service began as a young child, helping my grandmother at her cheese factory store in a small New York town. This early experience sparked a lifelong passion for working with people, which continued through retail, entrepreneurship, and ultimately a rewarding career in education spanning more than 20 years. After teaching students of all ages, from preschool through college, I have returned to my roots in retail and customer service, bringing with me a wealth of experience, patience, and a genuine love for helping others.

Outside of work, my greatest passion is fine art. Over the years, I have explored a variety of mediums, including acrylics, pencil drawing, photography, watercolor, pottery, and sculpture. My newest passions are paper mosaics, inspired by my years as a kindergarten teacher and my love of recycling and creative expression, and oil painting, which allows me to capture the beauty of the world around me. As a transplanted Delawarean, I am embracing this new chapter of life by creating art that brings joy, inspiration, and personal meaning to those who experience it.
