Workmanship Warranty
A clear guide to the labor and installation coverage included with eligible Allura renovation agreements. Review what is covered, what is excluded, and how to submit a claim.
What the Labor Warranty Covers
The Allura labor warranty applies to qualifying labor and installation services completed under the original signed agreement. The warranty duration is the period stated in that agreement.
-
The warranty covers issues directly related to Allura's installation labor under the original signed agreement. Covered work must have been completed in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with then-current industry practices and the manufacturer's written installation instructions.
-
Allura's labor warranty does not cover defects in materials, products, or goods. Any material warranty is provided by the manufacturer. Diagnostic labor and costs associated with a manufacturer claim are also outside the Allura labor warranty unless otherwise stated in writing.
-
Coverage begins on the project's start date, defined as the first day Allura is on-site to begin work. It continues for the duration stated in the signed agreement. Refer to your agreement for the exact period that applies to your project.
-
If Allura confirms a covered labor defect, the remedy is for Allura to correct the defective labor at no additional cost. The warranty does not provide money damages, refunds, or replacement materials.
What Is Not Covered
The labor warranty is specific to Allura's workmanship. Materials, normal wear, maintenance issues, outside repairs, and several other conditions are excluded.
-
Not covered: product or material defects; diagnosis or labor for manufacturer claims; normal wear and tear; damage from improper cleaning, misuse, or neglect; structural movement or settling not caused by Allura; failure to maintain proper climate control; and labor, repair, or self-repair performed by anyone other than Allura. Outside work waives coverage for the affected portion of the project.
-
Normal wear includes shrinkage, hairline cracks, or discoloration in caulk and grout; minor color variation; cabinet hardware loosening from ordinary use; cabinet-door telegraphing; small gaps from wood movement or house settling; water spotting or dulling; sunlight fading; natural material variations; and damage from natural disasters or acts of God. These conditions are not covered labor defects.
Care, Special Exclusions & Claims
-
Homeowners are responsible for following manufacturer care instructions, including recommended sealing, re-caulking, climate control, and other periodic maintenance. Damage from improper cleaning or missed maintenance is not covered; unaffected portions of the project remain under warranty.
-
Luxury vinyl tile or flooring with an overall thickness of 5.5 mm or less, including installation labor, is excluded unless Allura separately agrees in signed writing. LVT thicker than 5.5 mm is covered under the standard warranty terms.
-
Submit a written claim to sales@alluragroup.com within 10 days after becoming aware, or reasonably being expected to become aware, of the issue. Allura determines whether the condition is a covered labor defect, normal wear, inadequate maintenance, or another excluded cause.
Transferability & Important Notes
-
The warranty may be transferred to a later owner of the property. Transfer requests should be sent to sales@alluragroup.com and are subject to Allura's transfer terms in effect at the time.
